Duquesne Topped By Brown, 2-1, At Yale Classic

Duquesne's men's soccer team dropped their second game of the Yale Classic to Brown, the other Ivy League opponent, 2-1, Sunday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, the Bears (3-2) jumped out to a 1-0 lead on Brown's Keith Caldwell score at 63:45. Noah Salsi scored for DU off an assist from Derek Mackenzie to tie the game less than two minutes later. Ibrahim Diane deflected in Brian Weeks' cross in the 75th minute for the game-winnner. The Red and Blue were outshot 13-10.

Steve Mellor, Matt Mehler and Jason Sourbeer were named to the all-tournament team.

The Dukes (3-4) won their opening game of the weekend event, a 3-1 win over the host Bulldogs Friday.

Duquesne has a week off before hosting Robert Morris on Tuesday, September 28th at 3:00 p.m.
