The Duquesne University men's soccer team travelled to University Park, Pa. Sunday and suffered a 1-0 loss to host Penn State.

The Dukes and Nittany Lions played 64 minutes of scoreless soccer before PSU's Mark Wadid scored from eight yards out for the only goal of the contest.

"It was probably our most complete game of the season, we created a lot of good opportunities and were playing well on both sides of the ball," said head coach Chase Brooks. "But, in the big games, it's down to the littlest of details and that's where we were just a little bit off today and Penn State was able to capitalize. Based off of those little details we couldn't get right, we have to regroup, refocus and be ready to get back to work this week and prepare for the next two games."

Sam Frymier made four saves in goal for the Dukes. Penn State outshot the Dukes, 12-9 and had a 7-3 lead in corner kicks.

The Dukes return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 25 as they travel to Robert Morris for a 4:00 pm contest.
