Duquesne's men's soccer team came from behind to defeat visiting George Washington (4-6-0, 0-2-0 A10), 3-2 Sunday on Rooney Field.

Trailing 2-1 late in the second half, Duquesne took advantage of a George Washington red card and a man advantage to tie the score with a goal by junior Damien Pottinger (Scarborough, Ontario / Mother Teresa) in the 86th minute.

Just four minutes later, with nine seconds remaining in regulation, junior Dan Hartung (Reading, PA / Wilson) found the back of the net to give the Dukes the final advantage. Sophomore Matt Mehler (North Versailles, PA / East Allegheny) scored the Dukes first goal of the day in the 63rd minute to tie the score at 1-1. Senior Terry McNelis (Reading, PA / Exeter Twp.) recorded five saves on the afernoon.

The Red and Blue (6-1-3, 1-0-1 A10) return to action on Friday, Oct. 11 as they travel to Philadelphia, PA, for a 7:30 pm contest with St. Joseph's (6-4-0, 1-2-0 A10).
