Men's Soccer Grounds Hawks, 5-0

Duquesne's men's soccer team won its fourth straight match with a 5-0 blanking of Saint Joseph's Sunday afternoon on Rooney Field. The Dukes, who have outscored their opponents 16-1 during the four-game streak, finished the season with a 7-0-2 record on Rooney Field.
Derek Patrizio opened the scoring in the 24th minute with his second goal of the season off assists from Simon Gomez and Nathan McCann to give the Red and Blue a 1-0 lead which they would take into halftime.
Gomez tallied his first goal of the day and seventh of the season in the 48th minute off passes from Austin Lange and Nick Anderson. Joshua Patterson followed in the 51st minute with his team-leading ninth goal off assists from Johnny Contreras and Adam Clement.
Gomez scored again in the 66th minute as Patterson and Julio Perez set him up and Lange ended the day's scoring with his third goal of the year in the 71st minute off assists from Perez and Patterson.
Duquesne returns to action on Friday, Nov. 4 as it travels to Richmond for a 7:00 pm contest.
