The men's soccer team set a school record for goals in a game with a 10 - 0 win over visiting Fordham. The win improves Duquesne to 10-2-5 overall and 5-1-3 in the Atlantic 10. The Rams are now 4-12-0, 1-8-0 in conference play.

Eight different Dukes scored in the game led by two each from junior Damien Pottinger (Scarborough, Ontario / Mother Teresa) and freshman Andrew Bell (New Marske, Redcar, England/ Huntcliff Secondary). Other goals were tallied by senior David Gingrich (Export, PA / Penn-Trafford), freshman Nathan Salsi (North Huntingdon, PA / Norwin) , junior Dan Hartung (Reading, PA / Wilson), senior Joe Lucas (Uniontown, PA / Laurel Highlands), senior Brian McNelis (Reading, PA / Exeter Twp.) and senior James Tarone (Rockville, MD/Thomas Wooton).

Two Dukes, sophomore Matt Mehler (North Versailles, PA / East Allegheny) and Lucas, added two assists each. Lucas had the only unassisted goal, scoring on a penalty kick in the 75th minute. Senior goalkeeper Terry McNelis (Reading, PA / Exeter Twp.) made one save and notched his fifth shutout of the year.

The Dukes, who are holding third place in tis week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America's NSCAA/adidas Middle-Atlantic Regional rankings, return to action on Sunday, Nov. 3rd as they host La Salle ((7-9-1, 5-4-0 A10) at 1:00 pm on Rooney Field.
