Nov. 15, 2002
The men's soccer team advanced to the Atlantic 10 championship game for the second time in four years with a 2-1, double overtime win over Richmond in the semifinals at Richmond. The second-seeded Dukes will face fourth-seeded George Washington on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 1:00 pm at Richmond's First Market Stadium. The Colonials were 4-3 winners over top-seeded UMass earlier in the day.

After a scoreless first overtime, junior Dan Hartung found the back of the net with just 53 ticks remaining in the second OT on an assist from sophomore Matt Mehler and senior David Gingrich to give the Dukes the triumph.
