Men's Soccer Announces 2013 Schedule

Duquesne men's soccer coach Chase Brooks has released the 2013 schedule. The Dukes will open the slate on Friday, Aug. 30 as they host Longwood at 7:00 pm on Rooney Field.
The Red and Blue will remain home for the next three games as they face Oakland on Sunday Sept. 1, then host the Duquesne Invitational when they take on Howard on Sept. 6 and Incarnate Word on Sept. 8.
DU then takes to the road for over a month as its next seven contests are away from Rooney. They travel to Georgetown Sept. 12, Cleveland State Sept. 18, Penn State Sept. 22, Robert Morris Sept. 25 and wrap up non-conference action at St. Francis on Sept. 29.
After 11 days off, the Dukes open their eight-game Atlantic 10 portion of the schedule in Philadelphia as they face La Salle on Oct. 11 and Saint Joseph's on Oct. 13. The A-10 home opener occurs on Oct. 19 as the Red and Blue host St. Bonaventure at 7:00 pm.
From there, the Dukes travel to Dayton Oct. 25, host Saint Louis Oct. 27, visit Rhode Island Nov. 3, host A-10 newcomer George Mason on Nov. 8 and wrap up the regular season versus VCU on Nov. 10. The Atlantic 10 Championship will be hosted by Dayton Nov. 14-17.
Duquesne, which has a 63-55-13 all-time record versus its 2013 opponents, will play four foes for the first time in Longwood, Incarnate Word, Georgetown and VCU.
The Dukes will also play exhibition contests at Carnegie Mellon on Aug. 20 and will host Wright State Aug. 25 at noon.
