Men's Soccer Team Gives Back to the Community
Sept. 18, 2013
With a rare weekend off, the men's soccer team spent a few hours on Sept. 14 helping out at the Jubilee Kitchen, located a few blocks from Duquesne's campus.
"It was a fantastic opportunity for our program to help out at the Jubilee Kitchen this past weekend," exclaimed head coach Chase Brooks! "The guys worked very hard at a variety of jobs, which included: serving, cleaning dishes, sweeping, and preparing food to name a few. We are looking forward to continued service with the Jubilee Kitchen and others in the area as we continue to put our stamp on the local community."
The Jubilee Kitchen provides a hot meal to the homeless, disadvantaged, and marginalized people of the Pittsburgh area. The Jubilee Association is an independent nonprofit organization supported and operated by concerned citizens of the greater Pittsburgh metropolitan area. It welcomes those whose lives are challenged by poverty, illness, joblessness, or homelessness.
