Brehan Heebner joins the Duquesne University swimming coaching staff in her first Division I coaching stint. She will assist head coach David Sheets with the men's and women's programs for the 2009-10 season. A 2006 Clarion University graduate, Heebner brings a wealth of collegiate swimming success and club coaching experience to the Dukes.

A four-year letter-winner at Clarion, she was a 12-time NCAA All-American, guiding her teams to PSAC championships in 2004 and 2005.

She began her coaching career in the summer of 2003 as a three-year summer head coach for the College Manor swim team in Reading, PA. After finishing her eligibility at Clarion, she stayed with the Golden Eagles as a student assistant in the fall of 2006 before moving on to coach the Reading Mini-Knights until the spring of 2007. From there, she moved on to become the head swim coach at the West Chester Golf and Country Club for a summer before taking the position of Competitive Aquatic Director/Head Swim Coach of the Lionville YMCA in Exton, PA for a year and a half before coming to Duquesne.

Heebner currently resides in Pittsburgh and is going to graduate school at Duquesne for Sports Leadership.
