Dukes Capture Gold Medal in 800 Free Relay at A-10's

The Duquesne men's swimming team cpatured its first gold medal of the Atlantic 10 Championship Wednesday evening by winning the 800-yard freestyle relay.
Freshman Jim O'Hara, sophomore Brendan Schilling, senior Ian Walsh and freshman Edward LeBlanc combined to swim a school record time of 6:42.51 in winning the event and scoring 40 team points.
The Dukes placed sixth in the other event of the evening, the 200-yard medley relay, with a time of 1:34.34.
The Red and Blue sit in fifth place of nine teams after day one with 66 team points.
Day two's preliminary action will begin at 10:30 am with the finals slated for 6:30 pm.
