Duquesne sophomore swimmer Ian P. Walsh broke one of Duquesne's oldest standing school records Friday afternoon by swimming a 57.09 in the 100-yard breaststroke at A-10's to topple the eight-year old record.

Walsh and freshman Edward LeBlanc, who finished first in the 200-yard freestyle, led a pack of nine Dukes who used the morning preliminaries to qualify for the evening finals. Also qualifying were sophomore Brendan Schilling and freshman Greg Matuszewski in the 100 butterfly, freshman Jim O'Hara and senior Ian Walsh in the 200 free, freshman Rich Ryan and junior Tony Herzog in the 100 breast and Matuszewski again in the 100 backstroke.

The finals begin at 6:30 pm and all the action and results can be followed live using the links on the main page of www.GoDuquesne.com.
