@DuqMTennis Shutouts Bucknell 7-0

HARMAR, Pa. - The Duquesne men's tennis team recorded its fourth victory of the season after a 7-0 shutout win over Bucknell on Feb. 25th.
The Dukes won all nine matches and 15 of the 16 sets played.
Duquesne started off by winning the doubles point, with Adam Blasinsky and Chris Corrao taking the #1 slot 7-5. At #2, Tim Kane and Jared Isaacs were 6-3 winners. Andrew Ong and Dane Bendel breezed to a quick 6-0 win at #3.
Dimitris Stavropoulos battled Daniel Wright in two close sets at #1 singles. Stavropoulos prevailed 7-5, 7-6. Blasinsky also was victorious in a tight match against Max Palmer at #2, winning 6-4, 7-5. Akins held off Andrei Vitiuc at #3, 6-4, 6-4. Kane was a 6-2, 6-2 winner over Max Kane at #4. Isaacs split the first two sets with Bryan Adam, but came away with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 win. Ong took out Ben Gerber 6-2, 6-4.
This was the last match before the Dukes' Spring Break trip in Orlando, Fla. which begins March 7th against Furman. The following day, Duquesne plays Norfolk State and closed out the trip on March 10th against Valparaiso.
The next home match is April 2nd against Saint Francis U.
