The Duquesne men's tennis team played three matches in their Spring Break trip to Orlando, Fla. The Dukes defeated Norfolk State and fell to Furman and Valparaiso.

FURMAN 4, DUQUESNE 3
In a hard fought match, the Purple Paladins got by the Dukes 4-3. Furman started off with the double points. Although Duquesne got singles wins from Adam Blasinsky, Tim Kane and Andrew Ong, Furman also won three singles points to take the match.

DUQUESNE 7, NORFOLK STATE 0
The Dukes recorded their third shutout of the season with a 7-0 blanking of Norfolk State. Kane and Jared Isaacs won at #2 doubles and the Spartans did not field a #3 doubles team, giving Duquesne the point. In singles, the Dukes got wins from Blasinsky, Dimitris Stavropoulos, Drew Akins and Kane. NSU only fielded four players in singles.

VALPARAISO 7, DUQUESNE 0
Valparaiso (12-1) is one of the toughest opponents on Duquesne's schedule this season. The Crusaders won their 11th straight match after a 7-0 victory over the Dukes. Valpo swept the doubles point and did not lose a set in singles.

UP NEXT
The Dukes (5-8, 1-2 A-10) hit the road for an Atlantic 10 Conference matchup against St, Bonaventure (6-9, 1-1 A-10) on Sunday.
