Dukes Blank Fordham at A-10's, 4-0

The seventh-seeded Duquesne University men's tennis team defeated 10th-seeded Fordham, 4-0 Friday morning in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Championship held at the Oxford Athletic Club in Monroeville.
The Dukes first captured the doubles point as Paul Clough and Rodrigo Lacayo won 8-4 at number two and Rob Ojeda and Devon Peightal won 8-2 at number three. The Red and Blue then won three singles matches with Peigthal taking a 6-0, 6-2 decision at number two, Adam Townsend winning 6-1, 6-2 at number five and Ojeda taking number six by a 6-2, 6-0 score.
The Dukes return to action at 2:00 pm this afternoon as they take on second-seeded Dayton.
