Dukes Compete in Dayton Invitational

The men's tennis team competed in the two-day Dayton Invitational and fared well against competition from Dayton, Wright State and Xavier.

Junior Micael Lopez-Acevedo (Guaynabo, PR / Colegio Marista / Bowling Green) won the Flight A bracket defeating Dayton's D.J. Gebhart, 6-4, 0-6, 6-3, Wright State's Brian Butt, 6-0, 6-0 and Dayton's Rob Altenau, 6-4, 6-1.

Freshman Devon Peightal (Fairview, PA / Cathedral Prep) placed third in Flight A singles with two wins and a loss while the doubles team of sophomores Seth Fogelman (Naples, FL / Barron Collier) and Ryan Moseley (St. Michael, Barbados / Harrison College) placed fourth in the Flight A doubles competition.

The Dukes return to action on Saturday, Oct. 19 as they host Georgetown at 1:30 pm and Youngstown St. at 6:00 pm.
