Red and Blue Complete Fall Season at Cornell Invite
Nov. 02, 2009 Duquesne's men's tennis team wrapped up its fall slate by competing in the Cornell Invitational, Oct. 30 - Nov. 1. Four Dukes grabbed top four finishes at the event, led by Gustavo Villares who was the champion of the flight E singles. Villares went 4-0 to improve his fall singles record to 7-4. Kyle O'Leary finished second at flight E with a 3-1 record, losing only to Villares in the championship. O'Leary finished the fall season with a team-best 7-1 singles record, playing at fifth and sixth. Mark Maciuch tunred in a third place showing at flight B singles with a 3-1 record and Jeremy McClelland placed fourth at A singles with a 2-2 mark. The Dukes will return to the court on Jan. 15 as they travel to Detroit Mercy.
