On Saturday, October 29, the Duquesne tennis team participated in the Buddy Up Tennis, Fitness and Fun program held at The Club Sport and Health in Monroeville.

The Buddy Up program is a high energy, 90-minute program which focuses on adaptive tennis, fitness and fun for children and adults with Down Syndrome. It began in Columbus, Ohio in the spring of 2009 and has now expanded into the Pittsburgh and Cincinnati areas.

"I am so glad that the Buddy Up Tennis program has come to Pittsburgh and that we have the opportunity to work with these amazing kids," said head coach Rob Castille. "I'm not sure whether the kids or the guys on my team had more fun today! All of the volunteers and athletes made this such a special day and we cannot wait for the next clinic that we are able to do."

The Dukes open the spring portion of their schedule on Friday, Jan. 20 as they travel to Cleveland State for a 7:00 pm match.
