Pete Carpenter Named A-10 Player of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference has announced that Pete Carpenter is this week’s Player of the Week.
The junior from Alburtis, Pa. won twice in singles and doubles over the weekend in the Dukes 5-2 win over Dayton and 6-1 win against Saint Joseph’s. Against the Flyers, he won the #2 singles 6-2, 6-1 and #1 doubles 8-4 with partner Alex Aleman. He continued his excellent play against the Hawks, winning the #2 singles 6-2, 6-2 and #1 doubles 8-3 with Aleman.
The pair of victories gives Duquesne a record of 11-3, 4-1 A-10.
The Dukes host Cleveland State (4-9) on Friday, March 29th at 6:30 p.m. at Alpha Tennis and Fitness of Pittsburgh.
