Three Dukes Receive All-Conference Laurels

Duquesne University tennis players juniors Mark Maciuch (Chicago, IL/Loyola Academy) and Jeremy McClelland (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) and sophomore Zach Skorupka (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny/Penn State) have all been named to the 2009 Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis All-Conference Second Team in voting conducted among the conference coaches.
Maciuch posted an impressive 11-7 record at first doubles and had 14 total wins as a duo. His 18 singles wins at a variety of flights gave him 32 total wins, good for second best on the team.

McClelland led the Dukes with 36 wins on the season (18 singles, 18 doubles) and went 7-1 against Atlantic 10 competitors in singles action this year. He went 6-1 in combined action at the 2009 Atlantic 10 Championship and was also a 2008 Atlantic 10 Second Team All-Conference selection.

Skorupka was second on the team in total victories with 19 wins in singles action and 15 in doubles play. His 12 wins at number one singles were twice that of the rest of the team combined.
