Rob Castille Named Men's Tennis Coach

July 20, 2005

Duquesne University has named Rob Castille men's tennis coach effective immediately. Castille replaces ten-year coach Whitney Snyder who resigned following the 2005 season.

Castille, who served as an assistant coach for the Dukes from 2003-05, has an extensive tennis background. Currently a tennis pro at Lakevue Athletic Club in nearby Valencia, Pa., he has also worked at Green Oaks Country Club, Treesdale Country Club and Hillcrest Country Club over the years. In addition, he was the Sewickley Academy girl's varsity head coach and was the tennis pro at Flagship Athletic Club in Eden Prairie, MN.

Castille graduated from Hempfield High School in 1994 where he was the WPIAL runner-up in singles as a senior and a WPIAL runner-up in doubles as a sophomore and junior. Collegiately he graduated in 1998 from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN where his teams finished among the top five in the country three straight years, highlighted by a third place showing as a junior when he played at number three singles and number three doubles.

Castille is single and resides in Pittsburgh.
