Men's Track Opens Season at Fred Hardy Invitational

Duquesne's men's track & field team opened the 2014 season March 29-30 at the Fred Hardy Invitational in Richmond, Va.

Alex Gladysiewski took top honors for the Dukes, placing second in the javelin with a toss of 187-11. Capturing a third place finish was Brandon Krszal who finished the 800 meter run in 1:55.33.

The Dukes also excelled in the steeplechase as Dino Andrade placed fourth in 9:30.39 and Luke Schott was seventh in 9:48.13. Kyle Trinch was sixth in the 400 hurdles in 55.09.

The 4x800 meter relay of Krszal, Joe O'Such, Alex Schaffstall and Frazee Sutphen took second in 7:58.39.

The Red and Blue return to action on April 3 as they travel to Williamsburg, Va. for the three-day Colonial Relays.
