Dukes Compete at Bucknell and Robert Morris Over the Weeknd

This past weekend, the men's track and field team had a couple student-athletes compete at the Bennie Benson Memorial Invitational at Robert Morris and a handful of others travel to Bucknell to compete.
Jim Spisak was at Bucknell and he came home with a first place showing in the 10,000 meter run. He broke the Duquesne all-time record by over 33 seconds and set a new Bucknell facility record with an IC4A qualifying time of 29:02.09.
Also doing well at Bucknell were Chuck Lockwood who placed sixth in the 10,000 with an IC4A qualifying time of 30:01.71 and Rico Galassi who qualified for IC4A's in the 1,500 meter run with a 12th place time of 3:48.96. Evan Gomez also took eighth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 9:22.01.
At Robert Morris, Ian Welch placed second in the triple jump with a distance of 45-03.50. He was followed in sixth by Sean King with a leap of 40-09.00. Kevin Yacker also had a top 10 finish with a sixth place javelin throw of 171-00.
The Dukes return to action on April 18 as they travel to Baltimore for the two-day Morgan State Legacy Meet.
