Men's Track Splits Up to Compete and Bucknell and Robert Morris

Duquesne's men's track & field team split up over the weekend with the distance runners competing in the two-day Bison Outdoor Clasic at Bucknell and the sprinters and field athletes staying local at Robert Morris' Bennie Benson Memorial.

The weekend was a success as five individuals and a relay posted IC4A qualifying times and three Dukes won their events.

At Bucknell, Alex Woodrow ran the second fastest 10,000 meter run in school history, placing third of 58 runners with an IC4A qualifying time of 29:44.27. Aaron Wilkinson also qualified for IC4A's in the 10K with a time of 30:56.00, placing 19th.

In addition, the 4x800 meter relay of Brandon Krszal, Dave Farina, Adam Shrawder and Joe O'Such combined for an IC4A time of 7:38.85 to take second place.

At Robert Morris, Paul Blinn and Shakeil Carter finished second and third in the 100-meter dash with times of 10.83. Blinn actually edged Carter by 5/1,000th of a second at 10.822, compared to 10.827. Both runners qualified for IC4A's.

Also qualifying for the post-season meet was Cam Stauffer who won the 3,000 meter run in 9:03.28. Also winning was Jonathan Dorph in the pole vault, taking first with a height of 14-09.
