Men's Track and Field Wraps Up Successful Event at Bucknell

Duquesne's men's track and field team wrapped up a very successful weekend at the Bison Outdoor Classic at Bucknell as the Dukes broke two school records and had five individuals and three relays qualify for IC4A's.
Jim Spisak finished third of 92 runners and broke a five-year old Duquesne record in the 1,500 meter run with an IC4A qualifying time of 3:48.01. Alex Gladysiewski also set a school record and had an IC4A distance in the javelin with a toss of 203-09, which was good for second place in the field of 23.
Cam Stauffer placed fourth of 42 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with an IC4A time of 9:14.90 while Chuck Lockwood and Scott VanKooten each qualified for IC4A's in the 10,000-meter run with times of 30:36.06 and 31:06.74 respectively.
Also qualifying for IC4A's were the 4x100 (42.13), 4x400 (3:16.54) and 4x800 (7:39.13) relays.
The Dukes return to action on Saturday, April 21 as they head back to Lewisburg, Pa. to compete in the Bucknell Team Challenge.
