Lewisburg, Pa. - Junior Tom Slosky (Brackenridge, PA / Highlands), who has already set new Duquesne records in the 3000 meter steeplechase and the 5000 meters this season, captured a third school mark with his winning and IC4A-qualifying time in the 1500 meter run Saturday at the Bucknell Outdoor Heptagonal at the Bison's Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. The Dukes' 4 x 800 meter relay team also grabbed a gold medal and sophomore Derek Dutille (Lebanon, PA / Lebanon) quailfied for the IC4A in the steeplechase.

The Dukes finished seventh, six points behind sixth place Binghamton.

Alum Gary Malinko held the old Duke 1500 record of 3:49.20 set at another Bucknell tournament on April 15, 2006; Slosky's time was 3:48.37.

Dutille's time of 9:13.50 in the 3000 meter steeplechase was good for second in the race behind Penn State's Michaek Syrnick. Slosky's school record 8:52.61 in this event qualified him for the NCAA regionals.

Dutille teamed with senior Eric Robertson (Allison Park, PA / North Allegheny), sophomore Tim Majewski (Erie, PA / Mercyhurst Prep) and freshman Kyle Reeping (Saxonburg, PA / Knoch) to finish the 800 meter relay in 7:48.30, ahead of second-place Lock Haven.

The Dukes next compete at the 2007 Penn Relays beginning on Thursday, April 26, 2007, at historic Franklin Field in Philadelphia, Pa.
