Lewisburg, Pa. - Duquesne's men's outdoor track and field team grabbed four golds on the way to a third place finish at the Bucknell Five-Way Saturday at Christy Mathewson Memorial Stadium. Sophomores Ed Guelfi (800M) and Luchin Lee (400HH), freshman Tom Slosky (5000M) and Duquesne's 4 x 800 meter relay team captured first place in their events.

Duquesne also tallied four silvers and five bronzes for 132 points, 47 points ahead of host Bucknell. This is the first event on the 2005 schedule where the Dukes didn't set at least one new school record.

Guelfi and junior Gary Malinko finished first and second in the 800 meter run with times of 1:54.09 and 1:54.74, respectively. Slosky grabbed the crown in the 5,000 meters finishing the run in 14:42.11. Lee won the 400 meter high hurdles with a mark of 55.14 while senior Aaron Panigall was third at 56.59.

The 800 meter relay team of Malinko, Zack Dorman, Guelfi and E.J. Robertson won the event with a time of 7:50.06, close to five minutes faster than second place Bucknell.

The Dukes next head to Philadelphia, Pa. for the prestigious Penn Relays beginning Thursday, April 28, 2005.
