Dukes in Two Events Thursday at Penn Relays

Philadelphia, Pa. - Two distance runners on Duquesne's men's track and field roster competed during Thursday's first day of the 2006 Penn Relays at UP's Franklin Field.
Junior Chris Horvat (Cleveland, OH / Gates Mills Gilmore) was ninth of 19 runners in the 5000 Meter Championship with a time of 14:32.66, four seconds shy of his Duquesne record in this event,
Sophomore Tom Slosky (Brackenridge, PA / Highlands) completed the stepplechase race in 9:18.11, 11th of 16 competitors.
The competition continues on Friday and Saturday.
