Results

Philadelphia, Pa. - Duquesne's men's track and field team set a new school record Friday at the Penn Relays at UP's Franklin Field. The Distance Medley Relay Team broke the mark set at this same event in 2004.

The quartet of seniors Gary Malinko (Old Forge, PA / Scranton Prep) and Zack Dorman (Imperial, PA /West Allegheny) and junior Ed Guelfi (Long Beach, WA / New Mexico Military Inst.) and freshman Tim Majewski (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) finished 3rd in the 14-team section two with a time of 9:56.81. This time was good for 13th overall among the 30 schools competing.

The team of Luchin Lee, Joe Winans, Dorman and Malinko put up Duquesne's previous best time of 9:56.93 on April 24, 2004.

The three-day competition concludes Saturday.
