Princeton, N.J. - Senior Mike Murawski's performance at Princeton's Weaver Track & Field Stadium on Sunday helped Duquesne finish in a tie for 11th place among 44 scored teams at the 2007 IC4A Outdoor Track and Field Championship. Duquesne, which competed in four of the 22 events, tied with Morgan State, each with 26 points.

Murawski's leap of 2.00 meters (6 feet, 6.75 inches) in the high jump was good for sixth, and two points, among the 18 athletes who qualified for this tournament. Murawski holds the Duquesne record in this event and finished a close second in the decathalon at this year's Atlantic 10 Conference Championship,

The 4 x 800 meter team of senior Eric Robertson, sophomores Derek Dutille and Tim Majewski, and freshman Kyle Reeping, achieved the Dukes' best time (7:38.86) of the season in the preliminary race. DU was two seconds shy of qualifying for the finals.

Duquesne, which did not have any entries in Saturday's competition, earned points in three of the four events in which the Red and Blue participated. (Please see Friday's results - Dukes in 2nd Place at IC4A Championships - for more information)

Next up for the Dukes is the two-day NCAA East Regionals beginning on Friday, May 25, 2007, at the University of Florida's James G. Pressly Stadium at Percy Beard Track in Gainseville, Fla.
