Three Duquesne University track and field competitors took part in the 2005 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Regional in New York, NY on May 27-28. Senior Chuck Mohan placed 11th of 27 athletes in the discus with a toss of 170 feet, four inches and finished 25th of 29 in the hammer throw with a 157 feet hurl.

Freshman Tom Slosky captured 11th place of 34 runners in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:04.57 and was the top freshman finisher in the race. Sophomore Mike Murawski was one of 10 competitors to not reach the minimum high jump of 6-9 to advance to the next round.
