The wrestling team opened the dual match portion of its schedule by splitting a pair of home matches. The Dukes fell to Eastern Illinois, 27-24, then bounced back to defeat American, 30-19. In the first match of the evening Eastern Illinois topped American, 25-19.

The Dukes were led by 125-pound freshman Keith Pavlekovsky who won both his matches including a win by pin. Freshman David Kuntz (133), and sophomores Ryan Powell (157) and Mark Himes (174) also won by fall.

The Red and Blue return to action on Saturday, Jan. 11 as they travel to Delaware State for the East Regional Duals.
