Results

Duquesne's wrestling teams dropped a 27-19 decision to visiting Delaware State Friday evening in the Palumbo Center. The match was one of 14 which will be contested as part of the East Regional Duals.

The Dukes would jump out to a 10-6 lead as junior Billy Chamberlain captured a 10-2 major decision at 125 pounds and fellow junior Jayk Cobbs earned a win by forfeit at 149 pounds.

The Hornets would win the next two matches to take a 15-10 advantage before sophomore Matt Gregg claimed a win by fall (1:40) at 165 pounds and junior Ryan Sula turned in a hard fought 2-1 victory at 174 pounds to put the Red and Blue up, 19-15. Delaware State, however would win the final three bouts to take the 27-19 win.

The remainder of the duals will be held Saturday at North Hills High School beginning at 9:00 am.
