Red and Blue Split with Campbell, Duke

The Duquesne University wrestling team moved its dual record to 9-10 by splitting a pair of matches at Duke Tuesday evening. The Red and Blue defeated Campbell, 42-3 before losing to the host Blue Devils, 34-7.

Seniors Marc Allemang and Jon Denk each posted two wins on the day. Allemang improved his record to 37-6 (19-0 in duals) by pinning Campbell's Pruitt Rainey in 1:21 and defeating Duke's Venroy July, 7-3. Denk topped Campbell's Broc Dickerson, 18-3 then won 15-3 over Duke's Zach Weisberg to improve to 15-12 on the season.

The Dukes return home on Saturday, Feb. 19 for their regular season finale against Delaware State and James Madison at noon in the Palumbo Center.
