Wrestling Team Places Second in Nation in Team GPA

For the second straight year, the Duquesne University wrestling team has finished second in the nation with a team grade point average of 3.32, as released by the National Wrestling Coaches Association. The Dukes trailed only Sacred Heart, whose 3.41 GPA was the best in the country for the second straight season.
In addition, sophomore heavyweight Marc Allemang (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) was named an Academic All-American Honorable Mention by the NWCA. Allemang, who boasts a 3.50 GPA as a secondary education major, led the Dukes with a 31-10 record and was an NCAA qualifier.
