Dukes Perfect at Duquesne Duals

The men's cross country team opened the 2008 season with a perfect showing at the Duquesne Duals, going 8-0.
Senior Josh Eddy won the race in 25:45, leading five Dukes who finished among the top six runners. Following Eddy were Mike Stolar in second (25:53), Scott Van Kooten (26.02) in third, Derek Dutille (26:09) in fourth and Travis Dean in sixth at 26:28.
Having five of the top six runners, the Dukes defeated Pitt (16-45) and each of the following schools by a 15-50 score; Canisius, Niagara, Carnegie Mellon, Wheeling Jesuit, St. Bonaventure, Juniata and St. Vincent.
The Dukes return to action on Friday, Sept. 19 as they compete in the National Catholic Championship.
