Red and Blue Finish Third at Notre Dame

The Duquesne University men's cross country team placed third out of 31 schools at the 2006 National Catholic Championship held at Notre Dame Friday afternoon. The Dukes, the reigning champions of the event, were topped only by Marquette and the host Fighting Irish, who won the event for the 18th time in its 27 year history.
Senior Chris Horvat paced the Dukes and finished sixth overall in the 237-runner field with a time of 25:01. Following Horvat were sophomore Josh Eddy in 10th place with a time of 25:26 and junior Tom Slosky who finished 11th in 25:33.
The Dukes return to action on Friday, Sept. 29th as they compete in the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh.
