Dukes Win Duquesne Invitational

For the second straight year, Duquesne's men's cross-country team captured the title of the Duquesne Invitational, edging out Dayton, CMU and Pitt who finished second through fourth respectively.
Duquesne runners finished first, second and third as sophomore Ryan Bender led the 96-runner pack over a muddy terrain with a time of 26:50. Not far behind were senior Dave Eldridge who finished second in 26:57 and freshman Zachary Dorman who was third overall in 27:00. Rounding out the top seven for the Dukes were junior Pat McGuire (8th - 27:17), freshman Gary Malinko (14th - 27:31), freshman Jeffrey Hite (15th - 27:35) and freshman Bryan Herdman (17th - 27:38). The Dukes return to action on Saturday, Oct. 5 when they travel to Lewisburg, PA for Bucknell's Gulden Invitational. Team Results
