Duquesne's men's cross country team finished 25th of 45 teams at the prestigious Paul Short Invitational held Sept. 30 at Lehigh. Senior Erik Anderson paced the Dukes in 103rd place of 402 runners with a time of 25:35. Junior Jim Spisak followed one second behind in 108th place in 25:36.

Following Spisak were senior Scott VanKooten in 141st place in 25:48, junior Jon McElwain in 168th in 26:00, junior Cam Stauffer in 178th in 26:05, freshman Evan Gomez in 189th in 26:09 and junior Adam Shrawder in 199th in 26:18.

The Dukes return to action on Saturday, Oct. 15 as they take part in the NCAA Pre-Nationals at Terre Haute, Ind..
