Duquesne's men's cross country team finished 21st of 42 schools at the 2009 Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh.

Junior Mike Stolar led the Dukes and finished 16th overall of 386 runners with a school record time of 24:02. His time broke the previous record of 24:05 set by Chris Horvat at the 2006 Paul Short Run.

Stolar was followed by a quartet of additional juniors as Mark Bucklaw placed 117th in 25:05, Kyle Dorman in 147th in 25:17, Travis Dean in 150th in 25:19 and Scott VanKooten in 184th in 25:30.

The Red and Blue return to action on October 16 as they participate in the Penn State National Open.
