The Duquesne University men's cross country team finished in a program-best 2nd place Saturday morning at the A-10 Championships at Schenley Park. Senior Ryan Bender paced the Dukes taking fourth overall (25:44) in the 111-athlete field and was named to the All-Conference Team.
The Dukes ran a solid meet with five athletes finishing in the top-20. After Bender's fourth-place showing, senior Steve Moyer took 11th (26:16) followed by sophomore Chris Horvat in 13th (26:28); junior Kevin Borrelli in 14th (26:37) and junior Zack Dorman in 15th (26:40).
The La Salle Explorers captured their fourth straight league championship with 24 points as all LSU runners finished in the top ten. The Dukes, with 57 points, were the only other team below 100 points. Richmond sophomore John Ciccarelli took the individual championship with a time of 25:30.
