DU Captures Three of Four Weekly A-10 Cross Country Awards

Duquesne University cross country runners junior Bob Gasior (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic), graduate student Carly Seymour (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria/Duke) and freshman Megan Baritot (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) received Atlantic 10 weekly awards for the week ending Sept. 1. Gasior was the men's Performer of the Week, Seymour was the women's Performer of the Week and Baritot was the women's Rookie of the Week.
Gasior captured first place at the season-opening Duquesne Duals as the Dukes defeated all five opponents. His time of 26:07.6 was seven seconds faster than the second place finisher.
Seymour won the women's race at the Duquesne Duals by 29 seconds. She led nine Dukes who took the top nine places in the race with a time of 18:03.3 as the Red and Blue went 3-0 on the day.
Baritot captured third place for DU in her first collegiate race with a time of 18:32.9.
The Dukes return to action on Friday, Sept. 6 as they compete in the Spider Alumni Open, hosted by Richmond.
