Mike Stolar Named Atlantic 10 Co-Performer of the Week

For the third time in as many races this season, Duquesne University junior cross country runner Mike Stolar (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) has been named the Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Co-Performer of the Week for the week ending Oct. 4. Stolar finished 17th in a field of 386 runners at the Paul Short Invitational on Oct. 2 with an 8K school record time of 24:02. His time topped the previous record of 24:05 set by Chris Horvat at the 2006 Paul Short event. This is the third time this season Stolar has led the Dukes as the Red and Blue finished 21st of 42 teams at the event. The Red and Blue return to action on Friday, Oct. 16 as they participate in the Penn State National Open.
