Jania Sims scored a game-high 21 points for the Panthers who fall to 8-6 on the season.

With the Dukes up six points with 2:13 to play in the first half, Pitt went on a 7-0 run to take a one point lead at 31-30. Genlser's layup with 19 seconds remaining closed out the first half scoring and gave DU a 32-31 lead going into halftime.

The first four minutes of the second half saw two ties and two lead changes. A Carly Vendemia layup put DU up 39-38 with 15:31 to play. Duquesne would hold onto the lead the rest of the way.

Pollino's jumper with 3:24 left put the Dukes up double-digits at score of 65-55. DU's largest lead of the contest, 11 points, would come on an Abel layup with 10 seconds left making the score 70-59.

Duquesne tied a season-high by converting 80 percent of its foul shots, hitting 20-of-25.

"We capitalized on opportunities tonight," said head coach Suzie McConnell-Serio. "We got stops when we needed them."
