RICHMOND - Chassidy Omogrosso scored her 1,000 career point in Duquesne's 70-51 victory at VCU on Sunday afternoon. Omogrosso finished the contest with 13 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Julijana Vojinovic scored a game-high 19 points and Kadri-Ann Lass added 15 for the Dukes. Libby Bazelak had nine point, four assists and zero turnovers in 25 minutes.

Tera Reed led VCU (3-12, 0-3 A-10) with 13 points.

The Dukes (13-3, 3-0 A-10) opened up the game with a 17-1 lead and never looked back. Vojinovic had nine points on three 3-pointers, while Duquesne's defense forced eight VCU turnovers and allowed only a pair of field goals.

VCU cut the lead to six points at 21-15 at the 6:39 mark of the 2nd half, but the Dukes went on a 16-3 run to end the half, taking a 37-18 lead.

Vojinovic opened the 3rd quarter with a jumper that gave Duquesne its largest lead of the game at 21 points.

The Rams would make it a single-digit contest after Reed started the 4th quarter with a 3-pointer, making the score 49-40. The Dukes answered promptly with a 12-0 run over the next three minutes, giving them their second 21 point lead at 61-40.

Duquesne scored 26 points in the paint and had 24 points off turnovers.

The Dukes will return home to Pittsburgh tonight. They will be on the road again this weekend what they travel to George Washington for a nationally televised game on Saturday afternoon.
