@DuqWBB Falls in A-10 Quarterfinals

RICHMOND, Va. - Despite four players scoring in double-figures, #2 seed Duquesne was upended by #7 seed Saint Louis 71-65 in the Quarterfinal Round of the 2018 Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship on Friday evening.
Jackie Kemph had a game-high 28 for SLU (17-14).
The 1st quarter had three lead changes and four ties. A 10-3 run capped by Vojinovic's 3-pointer at 1:16 gave the Dukes a five point lead as their defense held the Billikens without a field goal for the final 5:13 of the quarter.
Duquesne's lead would get as high as six points two separate times. The later after Vojinovic's jumper at 3:34 of the 2nd quarter m,ade the score 35-29. Saint Louis would take the lead after scoring nine of the game's next 11 points. However, it would only last 51 seconds, as Omogrosso closed out the scoring with a layup to give the Dukes a 39-38 lead heading into halftime.
Lass opened the 3rd quarter with a 3-pointer before the Billikens made four straight layups with an and-1 to put them ahead 47-42 at 4:24. They would hold onto a one point lead at the end of the quarter.
Paige Cannon's jumper at the start of the 4th quarter regained the lead for the Dukes at 53-52. The schools would exchange leads over the next five possessions. Kerri McMahan's jumper at the 4:08 mark put SLU ahead for good. Duquesne was able to get within three points of tying the game on Vojinovic's 3-pointer with 19 seconds remaining, but that would be their last basket of the game.
