Women's Basketball Finishes Canadian Tour Undefeated After 84-32 Victory Over Brock

ST. CATHERINE'S, Ontario - The Duquesne women's basketball team wrapped-up its Tour of Canada with an 84-32 victory over Brock University on Tuesday night. Five Dukes scored in double-figures led by Belma Nurkic with 14 points. Wumi Agunbiade and April Robinson each had 11 and Jose-Ann Johnson and Ahjah Hall finished with 10. Brock was led by Nicole Rosenkranz with 11. DU, who led from wire-to-wire, hit seven of its last 10 shots to take a 22-9 advantage in the first period. Duquesne held Brock without a field goal for for a nine-minute stretch and only yielded two baskets in the second quarter to take a 41-16 lead into halftime. After hitting 50 percent of its shots in the first half, the Dukes came out in the third quarter making three of its first six attempts to take a 33-point lead - 51-18 with 6:10 left. The lead would reach 41 points after an Odisho layup before Brock's Brianne Ozimok closed out the period scoring with DU leading 64-25. DU kept its consistent shooting going in the fourth quarter, making 6-of-12 baskets and building a lead of 55 points late in the period. On the defensive end, Duquesne out-rebounded 43-30 led by Johnson's game-high eight. Hall recorded eight steals and the Dukes forced 35 turnovers. GAME NOTES
