Nashville, Tenn. - Duquesne University's women's basketball team were topped by the undefeated Vanderbilt Commodores, 92-60, Saturday afternoon at VU's Memorial Gym. Senior Candace Futrell paced the Red and Blue with 14 points and eight rebounds while freshman Loui Hall contributed 10 points off the bench.

Futrell, who had an off night from the floor (2-19), still moved into eighth place among Duquesne's women's basketball players during the game. The Altoona, Pa. native now has 1,189 career points, passing Katie Collins who gathered 1,186 from 1987-90.

The Commodores (6-0), who led the game by 44-24 at the half, shot 55.9 percent from the field, including 63.6% from beyond the arc. The Dukes were held to 20 of 63 from the floor, 31.7%.

The Dukes (3-4) have a 14-day break for finals before hosting West Virginia at 6:35 p.m. at the Palumbo Center on Saturday, December 20rd. This will be the second game of a men's and women's basketball doubleheader; the men's squad will take on George Mason at 4:00 p.m.
