The victory was the third in a row for the Dukes, who improved to 9-3 on the season.
Chelsey Jackson and Courtney Reed each scored 14 points for the Mastodons who fell to 2-8.
DU opened up the game on a 16-5 run. A Kelly Britcher layup at the 8:33 mark gave Duquesne its largest lead of the half, 13 points at 27-14.
Sarah Haluska's 3-pointer ended the first half scoring with the Dukes taking a 40-32 lead into halftime.
IPFW scored the first five points of the second half to get within three points at 40-37. DU would hold a single-digit lead until a Frederick foul shot with 5:33 remaining gave the Dukes a 10-point lead at 58-48, putting the game out of reach. An Eve Pyle layup with 2:11 left gave DU its largest lead of the game at 16 points, 70-54.
A pair Pryor foul shots closed out the scoring giving the Dukes the 77-64 victory and improving to 2-0 all-time against IPFW.
Pyle led the game with nine rebounds as the Dukes held a 37-27 advantage on the glass. Frederick scored 11 of her 13 points from the foul line missing only once, while Kristi Little (6-6) and Pryor (5-5) were both perfect from the charity stripe.
After Christmas, Duquesne will play in the University of Miami Holiday Tournament. Dec. 29, the Dukes will play #10 Auburn and will face either Brown or Miami on Dec. 30. DU will return home to face Missouri Dec. 3.
