THE LAST MEETING
A big 1st quarter set the pace as George Washington defeated Duquesne 75-40 on Jan. 1st, 2017 at the Palumbo Center. Lexi Martins led all players with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Colonials. Angela Staffileno led the Dukes with a season-high 12 points. Paige Cannon pulled down a career-high eight rebounds for the Dukes.

Feb. 6, 2010 -Vanessa Abel broke a 64-64 tie with a pair of foul shots with 27 seconds remaining in regulation to lift Duquesne to a 66-64 win over George Washington. GW had a chance to win the contest, but Tiana Myers' 3-pointer at the buzzer was off.

Mar. 5, 2010 - Vanessa Abel's foul shot tied the game at 55-55 with 14 seconds remaining. She stole the ball on the ensuing possession, but her shot at the buzzer did not fall sending the game into overtime. GW only made one field goal in the extra period and Carly Vendemia's foul shots with five seconds left gave Duquesne a 61-58 win in the Atlantic 10 Championship Opening Round.

Jan. 30, 2013 - Jocelyn Floyd's foul shot with 33 seconds remaining in regulation tied the score at 48-48. GW's Danni Jackson jumper with seven seconds remaining did not go, neither did Floyd's desperation jumper at the buzzer. In the 1st overtime, Vanessa Abel's layup put the Dukes up 52-51 with 43 seconds left. Jackson was fouled with one second remaining, made the first foul shot to tie the game, but missed the second. Floyd's basket with 2:00 remaining in the second overtime gave Duquesne the lead for good in their 63-59 victory.

March 6, 2016 - April Robinson's 3-pointer at the buzzer did not fall as George Washington came away with a 63- 60 victory in the 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship game.
