Little Named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week

March 3, 2008

PITTSBURGH - Duquesne University junior guard Kristi Little (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) has been named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week after averaging 13.5 points, 9.0 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals. The Dukes won both games last week and clinched a No. 9 seed in Atlantic 10 Championship. This is her first Player of the Week honor.

Little scored 15 points and tied a personal-best with 11 assists in DU's 70-56 victory at Rhode Island on Feb. 27. She tied the game-high with 12 points and had a game-best seven assists in Duquesne's 62-35 win at La Salle on March 1.

Duquesne (15-14, 6-8), winners of four straight games, will face No. 8 Richmond Friday afternoon at 12:00 p.m. in the Atlantic 10 Championship at the Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse on the campus of Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
